Exploration mineral types are:

VMS-related vulcanism of the upper Visean. This type of deposit is recognized in the province of Hercynian Jebilet-Guemassa (Hajar, Draa Sfar, and Kettara).

Visean vulcanism, in their intermediate and acid eroded anticline mesas in eastern areas, is also favorable for this type of mineralization. The best methodology for exploring this type of mineralization is an integrated interpretation of zonality between base metals and pyrrhotite and applicatin of geophysical techniques.

Sedex : For this type, in addition to the sequence in the lower basement, there is a sequence above Proterozoic volcanic activity in the Siroua and the Western High Atlas.

Stratiform Cu (kupfershiefer and red-beds ) : The best examples are currently in the Anti-Atlas, which in addition to many indications, known deposits and deposits in the Infracambrian and / or the top of the Precambrian, can show hidden accumulations.

MVT Type : This type of deposit is represented by world-class lead-zinc deposits (Touissit - Boubker, Mibladen). Currently, a number of small deposits of this type are the subject of cottage mining in the eastern High Atlas. The favorable areas for this type of deposits are in formations of dolomite at Mekkam, Rekkam, Hauts plateaux, Horst Country, the High Atlas, Middle Atlas and Ridge limestone in the Rif.

BPCG or related deposits related to the dominant base metal deposits with barite and fluorite : for this type of hydrothermal deposits, the most favorable areas are those that contain a high density of houses and indices and the brittle tectonic late Hercynian was the most active. Therefore, the Precambrian and Paleozoic buttonholes remain high. Fluorite deposits will be sought around the Hercynian granitoids flush or hidden.

Skarns or substitution type deposits : These are mainly mineralizations of Mo, W or Sn and are found in Morocco in the metamorphosis of Hercynian granitic intrusions (the granites of Tichka, Azegour, Oulmes, etc.) Further minerals exploration of such intrusions can either increase the potential of known deposits or discover new ones.

Deposits of Ni, Co, Cr : The most famous of these is the Precambrian anticline of the Bou Azzer-El Graara ophiolite complex and its extension towards NW Siroua along the branches of the major rift of the Anti-Atlas (the shows at Iferghane and Inki). Other areas of interest are the Palaeozoic massif at the ultrabasic complex Beni Bou Izra in the Rif and the high density area of Mesozoic basic sills in the Central High Atlas. The Archean of the Reguibat ridge is also a very attractive target for these elements.

Itabaritic deposits : represented by mineralizations of banded ferruginous quartzite: itabirites, related to the Archaean of the Aghaylas chain backbone.

Oolitic deposits : Mainly Ordovician formations (Ait Amar in Central Morocco, Tachila-Ouarzemine in the Anti Atlas and Imi n'Tourza Occidental in the Oriental Anti Atlas, Bani in the South Basin Zag etc. ) and Devonian formations (deposits in the province of Smara up the western extension of Gara Jbilet).
