The National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines organized the Moroccan Oil and Gas summit on the 07th and 8th of May in Marrakesh.

This international event allowed participants to discuss key issues related to oil and gas exploration in Morocco such as onshore and offshore geological potential, onshore and offshore exploration and the Atlantic coast, as well as the African energy issues.

This conference provided an ideal space for meetings and exchanges to identify investment opportunities, initiate and finalize projects in both the upstream and downstream in the oil and gas activities in Morocco.

The opening session was moderated by Mr. ABDELKADER AMARA, Minister of Energy, Mines, Water and Environment and Ms. AMINA BENKHADRA, Managing Director of ONHYM.

African guests were present at the summit: Mali, Guinea, Senegal, Mauritania and Gabon.
