Mrs
AMINA BENKHADRA, the General Director of ONHYM and Mr. Edward C. Weller, Vice
President of “ANSCHUTZ MOROCCO CORPORATION” and Mr. Ahmed Demnati
representing “DIRECT PETROLEUM MOROCCO Inc”, signed a Reconnaissance
Contract on the “ASILAH-TISSA” in the Pre-Rif area.
The
exclusive Reconnaissance Contract covers an area of about 12 836 km2 and extends
for a total period of 12 months. During this period, DIRECT and ANCHUTZ will
proceed to develop many specific studies.
“ANSCHUTZ”
was a partner of “ONAREP” for the reconnaissance contracts named
“Asilah-Ouezzane” and “Tissa” and has developed a seismic data which
need more studies to evaluate this large and complex area.

signature of this Agreement is reinforcing the existing Petroleum Agreements and
Reconnaissance Contracts both onshore and offshore, between

is in the framework of its strategy developed according to the High Directives
of His Majesty the King Mohamed VI, God assist Him, which aims at encouraging
investments, that ONHYM, by its promotion policy throughout a sustainable
participation to various international oil and gas conferences and exhibitions,
has succeeded in inciting and encouraging the oil industry to highlight the
Moroccan Hydrocarbon Potential.
